Astrid Lindgren’s World is a magical place where Lindgren’s classic children’s books come to life in a fairy tale environment. At this theme park and theatre, visitors can meet characters, like Pippi Longstocking, and see them perform scenes from the books in living settings like the Villekulla Cottage or Cherry Tree Valley. Located in Vimmerby, Lindgren’s hometown, the park encourages children to read and write, and plays host to more than 450,000 visitors a year.
