Historic 12th-century church

Located by Trondheim’s market square is the Church of Our Lady (Vår Frue Kirke). Like the Nidaros Ca-thedral nearby, this distinctive 12th century church has been victim to many fires, but it was beautifully restored in 1739. On the oldest surviving wall are Runes that were etched over 800 years ago.
