University town at the heart of the Sognefjord
Sogndal is a rural municipality running alongside the Sognefjord, Norway’s longest and deepest fjord. This area is mostly known for its numerous orchards that pepper the fjord with lovely pink and white blossoms in the springtime. The main commercial centre of this area is the village of Sogndalsfjøra.
