Famous stop on the Norway in a Nutshell® route
High up in Norway’s mountainous “rooftop” at 866 metres (2,841 ft) above sea level is Myrdal, a remote mountain station serving as the junction between the Oslo-Bergen train line and the famous Flåm Railway that is part of the Norway in a Nutshell journey.
Myrdal is also popular in summer months among hikers and bikers for the spectacular mountain trail that leads down to the village of Flåm with amazing views of cascading waterfalls and steep mountains on the way.
