A royal residence
Solliden Palace is the summer residence of the Swedish Royal Family and it is the personal property of King Carl XVI Gustaf. The palace is located near the Borgholm Castle ruin on the island of Öland in southern Sweden.
Solliden’s park, which surrounds the palace, was commissioned at the beginning of the 20th century by Queen Victoria, who created a unique environment of beautiful plantations with different styles.
The palace park is open to tourists and guided tours are available for groups. Please note that entrance is not included.
