Mora is a city in the Dalarna province in Sweden situated by the lake Siljan, the sixth largest lake in Sweden. This province is the home of the Dala Horse, the most famous Swedish souvenir there is. In Mora, you can visit Siljansfors Skogsmuseum, an open-air museum about forestry and Mora's industrial heritage.
If you are travelling with kids, keep in mind that Mora, along with the North Pole and Rovaniemi in Finland, claims to be the home of Santa Claus. The Santaworld theme park is a village of wooden houses with actors dressed as Santa, his helpers, elves and the like.
Travellers can also visit the Vasaloppet Museum, which is dedicated to the great ski race. It has exhibitions about great skiers and interesting events during the decades the race has taken place.
