Sweden's majestic nature
Siljan is one of Sweden´s largest lakes, covering a total area of 280 km2 (108 sq. miles) and with depths reaching over 120 m (394 ft.). It is situated in the middle of Sweden in the Siljansringen area, which was formed by the impact of a meteorite in prehistoric times. The beautiful surrounding landscape has made Siljan, along with the adjacent lakes of Örsasjön and Insjön, a favourite among nature lovers.
