Europe's highest road viewpoint
Dalsnibba is a mountain in Stranda Municipality located at the end of the Geiranger valley, about 7 km (4 mi) south of the village of Geiranger and the Geirangerfjord. Dalsnibba offers a striking view and is often covered by snow even in the summer months. And there is a view from the road; a spectacular platform, Geiranger Skywalk, has an overook at 1500 metres above sea level.
The toll road, Nibbevegen, takes you from Djupvasshytta at 1038 metres above sea level, to the viewpoint at Dalsnibba which is at approx 1500 metres. The toll road typically opens in mid/late May and closes in October. At the highest point there is a modern service building with a small souvenir shop and toilets.
