The spot to immerse yourself in history
Located in Bergen’s city centre is a cluster of museums belonging to the Bergen Museum — part of the University of Bergen — that include the Cultural History Collections, the Natural History Collections and the surrounding botanical gardens.
The Maritime Museum (Sjøfarts museum), also on the university campus, presents the history of shipping and its importance to Norway in the past and present with exhibits likes Viking ships, marine archaeological findings and various items related to life at sea.
